Lolita inspirations and what I can’t live without ♡

Hello there! I've been taking super slow with the 30 day Lolita challenge, so today I'm going to do 3 in 1!

10 things I can't live without in Lolita:

1- Internet
It would be impossible for me to even shop Lolita without internet!

2- Angelic Pretty and Baby, The Stars Shine Bright
I'm far far away from having a wardrobe full of brand, but AP and Baby were my motivation to start wearing Lolita and without my desire of collecting their pieces I wouldn't even mind wearing Lolita at all.

3- My local community
I don't have many close Lolita friends but if my comm didn't exist and the girls didn't organize meetings I would rarely get the chance to wear Lolita. It's also nice to know that are other girls in my country who enjoy and wear the fashion and have the opportunity to meet them from time to time.

4- My blog
It's not that wouldn't be able to live without it but I consider my blog important to document my growth in the fashion.

5- Sweet and Sweet-classic
If Classic, Gothic, Pirate Lolita, etc were the only options I wouldn't have started wearing Lolita in the first place, I might go Classic someday but it was never my motivation to start or keep going.

6- Wigs
It's impossible to me to wear Lolita with my natural hair. No wig is a no no for me.

7- Second hand shops from Japan
I'd be rarely able to get things straight from the actual stores, it's too expensive and I'd had to save even more money so I'm glad it's possible to find nearly mint condition pieces second hand. However everything that I ever bought second hand was from Japan, I don't trust Western lolitas as I think most of them don't take good care of their clothes. Japanese sales offer better deals than Western ones too.

8- Make-up
Because my bare face would never go with Lolita. Now that I can apply false lashes by myself I'm so content, I love doing my make-up for Lolita I think I'm fairly good at it.

9- Berets
Although I plan start wearing different kinds of headdress from now on I think berets are already my trademark, during my first year as a lolita all my coords included a beret. I have about ten of them and yes, I intend to buy more. I also wanna try boater hats, flower crowns, corsages, bonnets and headbows.

10- Tights
So far OTK's haven't worked for me, my legs have far too many bruises to wear just frilly ankle socks or ankle socks with lace cuffs so whenever I'm in Lolita I'm wearing tights, which also helps since I'm kinda tall for Lolita and most of my skirts and dresses are short on me :(.

10 people who inspire your Lolita style.

I can't think of ten people who inspire me and I'm really not into ass kissing (sorry hehe). However here are some girls, that I can't deny, have inspired me very much and continue to do so:

It might seem obvious to some people. But I actually really like Misako, I think she was meant to wear this Fashion, although I'm the very opposite of her I like the way she carries herself, she's just pure cuteness and she looks gracious in Lolita.

Rinrin is adorable. She deserves to be where she is, other girls could be arrogant or conceited if in her position as an Angelic Pretty model however she remains humble about it. Besides that she looks good in Lolita so I look up to her a lot.

I don't know much about Mila but she seems nice and funny from what I've red on her blog posts, the reason I admire her is the oufit above, one of my all-time favorites I've seen so far. I love her other coordinates too but this one is very inspirational to me and represents how I would like to dress someday when I have a better wardrobe. And just like Misako and Rinrin she looks super pretty in Lolita.

Angii-chan  has amazing creativity when it comes to balancing colors and mixing brand and off-brand. I relate a lot to her style preferences which are very otome and chocolatey, she wears the exact kind of Sweet Lolita that got me into the fashion. The content she posts on her blog is just what I'm always looking for and she seems very polite and well educated. I'd say from all lolitas she is probably the one who has inspired me the most.

I have so many pictures of Melva Yan for inspiration on my computer that I can safely say she is big influence to me. Whenever I buy a new print I search to see if she has coordinated it before, and get some great ideas.

And those are the people that inspire me the most, I'm really shy when complimenting people let alone saying that they are my inspiration so I hope they don't mind this post (please let me know if you ever see this post and want me to take down your picture ~.~).
I look up to some of the lolitas in my comm but I think none of the girls in Brazil has precisely the style I'm into, I feel like most good Brazilian lolitas are into Classical or a kind of Sweet that is way too Sweet for me, I admire them in their own style but I want to dress in a different way so is definitely more admiration than inspiration.

10 songs that inspire you for Lolita

The songs I like have little to do with Lolita, I'm really into female rappers who are total bad-asses and they inspire me a whole lot in general, specially Brooke Candy who is my idol and role model. Those songs inspire me by their woman empowerment which is something you gotta have to wear Lolita with confidence.

1- Cloud Aura - Charlie XCX feat. Brooke Candy
2- Opulence - Brooke Candy
3- Feel Yourself - Brooke Candy
4- Das Me - Brooke Candy
5- Pop Rock - Brooke Candy
6- Bed Squeak - Brooke Candy
7- I'm Out - Ciara feat. Nick Minaj
8- Like a Boy - Ciara
9- Man Down - Rihanna
10- Diva - Beyoncé

How I store Lolita clothes ♡

Hello everyone! Since I'm on a college break I've found myself with quite some time in my hands this week so I thought this post could be helpful. I only have two doors of my wardrobe available to store my Lolita clothes so I try to make the most of it. My wardrobe is relatively small but it has been growing and keep managing to fit everything in a way I think, looks cute. Here's how I do it:

Click on the pictures to enlarge.
Sorry for the low quality of the pictures, it's hard to get a good picture of the inside because it's dark. As you can see above I've purposed both doors:

On the left door there are a few things like cosmetics, hair products and trinkets. On the right door there's the mirror:

Above the mirror I glued heart shaped thingies from Daiso to hang some of my jewelry and charms. This keeps my necklaces from getting tangled:

I'm yet to take more polaroids with my friends to tape there, where also keep my Rilakkuma earphones.

On the shelf I have my petticoats, flower crowns, hat and most of my bags:

I use the big Liz Lisa bag to store my wigs and berets:

I purposed the back of the wardrobe as well by gluing more little hearts to hang my bear bag and a few other things:

I also keep some of my skincare and Lolita jewelry in the wardrobe, underneath my skirts. That's the good part of having mostly skirts, the gap that they leave for potential storage space:

I use the floral box and a Tokyo Disney tin that my boyfriend's mom gave me to store my bows:

The rest of my jewelry (specially the Chocomint and brand) is displayed on my cake stand:

I use my Sugary Carnival tote bag to store my bonnet and headbow (and future headbows) and some detachable parts I keep in a little Swimmer bag:

To be able to fit all my blouses, boleros, cardigans and my winter cape (and also because I didn't have clear hangers enough) I hung them in pairs:

Dark red bolero is washing ;p
And here's the little gap underneath my blouses where I fit my basket of socks and tights and some of my make-up bags:

This floral basket is from Daiso and can actually fit a lot into it:

And that's how I organized everything so far I'll probably have to make a few changes because I have five new pieces of clothing and three accessories waiting to be shipped in Japan and I do intend to buy more. Eventually I'll have to dump my muggle clothes wherever and get some drawers free to put my Lolita. If you know where I can get more clear hangers in São Paulo please let me know! By the way the shoes are the only part of my Lolita that I keep elsewhere! Since I only have four pairs of Lolita shoes I haven't found much trouble storing them.
I hope this post was helpful, if you like any of the storing ideas I used feel free to copy me hahaha you can get most stuff I used at Daiso!

Latest Outfits ♡

Hello everyone! Long time no see, sorry about that I've been quite busy. In the mean time I got to wear Lolita on three different occasions.
First my comm held a Bazaar swap-meeting kinda thing, I went there and ended up buying a bunch of stuff. Speaking on shopping matters I don't think I'll post that Japan haul anymore, I already wore most things so they're not that new anymore, I think it would be better to just write a wardrobe post in January plus you'll see me wearing the stuff anyways.

I need and must stop taking pictures with my phone to post on the blog, I'll try taking a proper camera with me whenever I can from now on. This picture ended up blurry because I was on a real rush. That day was terrible and annoying, but I bought some really cute things.
That's the only outfit picture I have, I made a bold choice to pair Sweetie Violet by Angelic Pretty with brown since I found out this shade of lavender doesn't go that well with pink. I wore my brown shoes from Bodyline, brown bag by Spree Picky and a straw hat with brown ribbons.

Painted my nails lavender to match Sweetie Violet.
On a much nicer day I went to a Book Club themed meet-up, however I didn't plan an outfit for the occasion in advance like I usually do so I threw the easiest coord I could think of:

Promenade de Paris by Angelic Pretty, my first and only OP, a cut that although not versatile is very easy to wear. Any print with brown accents is easy for me to coord and luckily enough I had a few mint accessories.

The Book Club Meeting was the best meeting I went to since the Valentine's Day one. It was quite small therefore very comfortable because I don't do well with crowds. The company was nice, the food, the location was amazing and of course I loved the theme. I'm a bookworm after-all.

I did like my outfit, despite the poor wig choice, could've put extra effort applying my make-up too but overall I think I did safe options.

Thank you Ichigo for organizing such a great meeting I had an awesome time chewing all that cupcakes and talking about books.

Speaking of food let's take a break from Lolita outfits to talk about this place:

It's called Ramona and their burger made me speechless from it's glorious taste. So so so good, I can't find the words to describe it. Thank you Layla for the tips!

Back to Lolita just so I can sum up what I've been up to for the last few weeks. Yesterday I went to Anime Friends to participate again (as I did last year) on the Ribbon Fashion Contest.

I decided to wear Cherish My Juicy Cherry by Baby, The Stars Shine Bright since the last time I wore it was over a year ago.

This time I attempted a more Classical look, I won 2nd place and I'll participate on the big final in December. My friend Bianca won 1st place, you go gurl!

Dress: Baby, The Stars Shine Bright
Bolero: Le Carrousel
Bow: Le Carrousel
Necklace: Axes Femme
Beret: Accessorize
Bag: Spree Picky
Tights: Topshop
Shoes: off-brand
Parasol: Angelic Pretty

I do regret my choice on leg-wear, maybe different tights maybe without the lace cuff ankle socks. But overall a much better outfit than when I first wore this dress. Anime Friends is always a nice event that I've been attending for years but the sleep deprivation and unexpected hot weather didn't do any favors to my already bad humor so I left right after the contest :(.
Geez I ran out of dresses I won't be wearing anything but skirts for a while now. I recently bought Drained Cherry JSK in lavender, hope I can get it sent here with my Royal Unicorn JSK in time for my birthday. Sad thing is: I won't be buying brand for a while now :( I'll probably buy off-brand accessories and shoes and maybe some handmade items but I'm taking a break from Japanese sales and auctions.

That's about it guys! I'll keep you all updated on my not very eventful life :)
